Where it all began...
Hi, I'm Kaitlyn. I'm so glad you're here.
What started as a simple desire to capture every fleeting moment with our first daughter turned into something so much bigger—this. This business. This calling. This joy.
I never expected to be here, telling stories through my lens, but I count it as one of the greatest blessings of my life. You deserve to see yourself the way your people see you—real, radiant, and deeply loved. That’s why I do what I do. Now, let’s tell your story—together.
Meet Kolby - the other "K" in K+K
He’s my husband, my best friend, and the one who keeps me grounded (and laughing) no matter how busy life gets. If you’ve ever worked with us, you’ve probably seen his easygoing energy, quick wit, and how he brings so much joy to every shoot. He has this natural ability to make people feel instantly comfortable—which makes capturing real, unfiltered moments that much easier.
I couldn’t do this without him. Truly. Not just because he’s incredibly talented behind the lens, but because he brings balance, calm, and a whole lot of heart to everything we do. He’s the guy fixing your boutonniere, carrying the extra gear, cracking jokes between poses, and making kids (and sometimes grooms!) actually enjoy getting their photo taken.
Kolby isn’t just a second shooter—he’s my partner in every way, and a huge part of why this business exists and thrives. K+K simply wouldn’t be K+K without him.
Who I am beyond the camera
Wife. Mom. Daughter. Sister. Friend. Photographer.
Who I am—beyond the camera
At just 28, I wear a lot of titles—and I’m proud of each one. Life is made up of seasons, and in every one, I’m learning to find joy in the small, quiet, in-between moments. I'd be honored to help you find that joy in yours, too.
The "WHY" behind what we do:
Why I left teaching—and found something deeper
For as long as I can remember, I wanted to help people—so I became a teacher. It felt natural and meaningful, and I loved it. But during my final semester at the University of Arkansas, everything changed.
My dad’s cancer, once thought to be manageable, took a devastating turn. In just a few short months, he was gone. That loss broke something wide open in me. I started asking hard questions—about time, about priorities, about what really matters.
Why did I chase the perfect GPA instead of more phone calls and weeknight dinners with him?
In the thick of that grief, I learned something beautiful and painful: we don’t get to keep time, but we can keep the memories.
The heart behind the lens
Years later, after becoming a mom and stepping away from teaching, I bought a camera—not with the intention of starting a business, but simply to capture the moments I knew I’d miss someday. I had no experience. I didn’t know lighting, posing, or even what settings to use. But I had this overwhelming pull to remember.
And somehow, God took that small act and turned it into something sacred: the chance to document your stories, too.
Why your moments matter so much to me
When I think about what it means to photograph someone’s wedding day, family session, or fresh newborn, I don’t take it lightly. I know the stakes. I know that what feels ordinary today will feel priceless one day.
I still flip through grainy disposable-camera photos of me and my dad—and they’re treasures. They’re proof that he was here. Proof of love. Proof of life. And I’m so, so thankful I have them.
So if you’re already a client, or if you’re thinking of becoming one—thank you. Truly.
To be trusted with your most intimate and meaningful moments is something I will never stop being grateful for. I’ll treasure them always. And I hope you will too.
